Ministry Description

Bethel Worship Centre Ministry works across a variety of different sectors to reach out and improve the livelihoods of many Malawians. Our programs focus on maximum impact and empowering the community through solutions that will last beyond the length of the program.

Bethel Worship Centre Ministry is built on the Biblical command to care for the least of the least. We are dedicated to meeting both the physical and spiritual needs of the people in Malawi.

Through our programs and sustainable solutions that provide clean water, empower communities, and train church leaders, we are taking the necessary steps to change lives, for now and for eternity. For over a decade, Bethel Worship Centre Ministry has been working in partnership with the

Evangelical Association of Malawi (EAM) to meet the physical and spiritual needs of the people of Malawi in their communities. Bethel Worship Centre Ministry has grown from a handful of people passionate to serve God in Malawi to an organization of well over 150 national staff Volunteers in its various Relief and Development Projects and Church Link Programs.

Bethel Worship Centre Ministry also has programs that cover all regions with offices in the towns of Balaka, Machinga, Mangochi and Zomba in additional to numerous other field offices. Staff come from various professional backgrounds – agriculture, administration, community nutrition, education, finance, public health and theology among others – and work together to serve God and the communities we partner with. Bethel Worship Centre Ministry holds strongly to Christian values while continuously implementing sustainable solutions to improve the livelihoods of beneficiaries. Together with our staff, partner church, donors, and beneficiaries we serve, we are transforming lives, for now and for eternity.”

Pastor Anthony's ministry has 14 Bible study centers he travels to for people to hear God's Word. One of these areas has recently been destroyed by a devastating flood. The people affected in this region lost everything and Pastor Anthony needs Bibles to provide hope for those whose lives have been uprooted and when they need God most. The number of active members in his congregation borders nearly 300, and many of these members do not have a Bible. They rely on his teaching to hear God's Word but can not study or grow on their own due to this need. The impact of providing Bibles does not just stop with these active members as his ministry looks after;

  • 246 Orphans

  • 103 Widows

  • 168 Elderly

  • 27 Disabled people

"I founded this ministry, Bethel Worship Centre in 2014, while on a prayer drive south of Lilongwe the Capital city of Malawi. I was moved by the spiritual and social condition of the people living in poverty in the rural villages and also by the Word of God from Romans 12:12-13 and Matthew 28:18-20."

"My vision was that the World knows the heart of the Father Almighty God, where individuals and communities are transformed by the Word of God, the power of His Holy Spirit and the actions of His saints, to the glory of God and His Son man Christ Jesus."

Pastor Anthony Kapindula

Pastor Anthony is serving as a missionary in his own country, Malawi Lilongwe, in the “Good News” Free Bethel Worship Centre Ministry Church. He is involved in preaching, evangelism, Discipleship, and mentoring.

Pastor Anthony was raised in a nominal Central Baptist home in Lilongwe. At the age of 17, he went to the Southern Region of Malawi to finish high school. There, he stayed with a Christian family that invited him to a Baptist church. The interdisciplinary and analytical approach to studying the Bible and the love of the people were the reasons that drew him to attend that church regularly. It was in that church context and through reading the Bible and praying that Pastor Anthony surrendered his life to the Lord. The Lord Jesus conquered his restless heart and brought repentant faith.

He finished undergraduate and graduate engineering degrees with the University of Malawi Polytechnic and worked both at the university and in various industries.
Ever since he became a Christian, Pastor Anthony has had a burden for his native land. That burden increased more and more as he was growing in the faith and maturing. Eventually, he decided to return and pursue missionary work.

Pastor Anthony is a certified biblical counselor, has done church ministry studies with the Malawi Assemblies Theological Seminary, and is currently doing an online Master of Divinity degree with The Master's Academy International in Germany.

Presbyterian Church, Baptist, Eastern Orthodoxy, Islam, and atheism are dominant in Malawi. The ground is hard, and most people are ignorant of the gospel. The evangelical churches are small and weak. There is a big need for evangelism, solid expository preaching, and Christian theological literature.

2023-2024 Bible Fundraiser.

The initial fundraiser we organized with Bethel Worship Centre completed a goal of 100 Bibles. This fundraiser is the beginning of equipping Pastor Anthony's congregation of 300+ Christians with Bibles in the native Chichewa language as well as English versions. As the initial goal has been met, more fundraisers will be held in the future.
