Just short of hitting the one-year mark, the fundraiser to provide 100 Bibles to our Brother's ministry in Malawi, Africa, has been completed! With God's grace and the cooperation of all donors, Pastor Anthony, his ministry team, and our ministry, this mission has been fulfilled, bringing families and communities to the Word of God!

The Two Pieces

This project was completed in two main distributions. The first distribution took place back in October of 2023, while the second distribution was recently completed in April of 2024.

The first distribution consisted of the majority of the fundraising. With the help of donors and the Malawi Bible Institute, a purchase of 40 Bibles in the Native Chichewa language was completed. Chichewa is the common language for Pastor Anthony's various Bible centers, which he teaches throughout Malawi. Alongside the 40 Chichewa Bibles, 28 English New King James Version Bibles were shipped out from our location in America. These Bibles were distributed to those who are bilingual in Anthony's congregation. This brought the total of the first distribution of Bibles to Anthony's congregation up to 68!

Within the last couple of weeks of this article date, donations were sent to Pastor Anthony for the procurement of 40 more Bibles! This second round of Bibles were all purchased from the Malawi Bible Institute and are all in the native Chichewa language. Anthony and his team distributed these Bibles in two different areas that he preaches. Thanks to everyone's help and support, another 40 families received God's word that day!

Beyond The Mission

Pastor Anthony and our ministry heard and took to heart the words Jesus spoke in the Great Commission. "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age" (Matthew 28:19-20 NIV). As Jesus commands Christians to teach and raise new disciples, we take a sincere approach to fulfilling this calling. However, this calling goes beyond simply carrying out this mission.

By providing God's written Word to those in Pastor Anthony's reach, there is more going on than a physical exchange of material. The families and individuals who have received Bibles are now equipped, for the first time, to study God's Word. They for the first time, can fall asleep reading and hearing the accounts of Jesus, the history of creation, and the promise of redemption. Before, they could only learn through attending Pastor Anthony's sermons. Now, the families blessed with Bibles can read on their own time and grow substantially through conviction and accelerated working of the Holy Spirit through the written Word. All of this learning and growth can then be spread to others increasing the knowledge of God through His written Word to countless others.

It is hard to imagine from America's stance that having something as simple as a Bible may be nearly impossible to acquire. After all, we have access to Bibles on every device, and they are readily available in nearby stores and in our numerous churches. For those living in countries that do not have the infrastructure we do, buying Bibles is not an option. It has been set on our hearts at Better World Ministry to bring the Word of God to those who don't have it.

Bethel Worship Centre Ministry

Bethel Worship Centre Ministry works across a variety of different sectors to reach out and improve the livelihoods of many Malawians. Our programs focus on maximum impact and empowering the community through solutions that will last beyond the length of the program.

Bethel Worship Centre Ministry is built on the Biblical command to care for the least of the least. We are dedicated to meeting both the physical and spiritual needs of the people in Malawi. Through our programs and sustainable solutions that provide clean water, empower communities, and train church leaders, we are taking the necessary steps to change lives, for now and for eternity.

For over a decade, Bethel Worship Centre Ministry has been working in partnership with the Evangelical Association of Malawi (EAM) to meet the physical and spiritual needs of the people of Malawi in their communities. Bethel Worship Centre Ministry has grown from a handful of people passionate to serve God in Malawi to an organization of well over 150 national staff Volunteers in its various Relief and Development Projects and Church Link Programs.

Bethel Worship Centre Ministry also has programs that cover all regions with offices in the towns of Balaka, Machinga, Mangochi and Zomba in additional to numerous other field offices. Staff come from various professional backgrounds – agriculture, administration, community nutrition, education, finance, public health and theology among others – and work together to serve God and the communities we partner with. Bethel Worship Centre Ministry holds strongly to Christian values while continuously implementing sustainable solutions to improve the livelihoods of beneficiaries. Together with our staff, partner church, donors, and beneficiaries we serve, we are transforming lives, for now and for eternity.”

Fulfilment of a Goal, But Just The Beginning

The completion of this fundraiser is by no means an end to our efforts to bring God's Word amongst the nations. This has been our first fundraiser, and completing it is the first step in carrying out the Great Commission. Stay tuned for future fundraisers with Pastor Anthony and others as we continue to fulfill this commission. At the bottom of every page on this website is a mailing list that you can subscribe to. By doing so, you can stay up to date when we launch future fundraisers and campaigns! Between fundraisers, a contribution page will always be available here. On this page, donors can contribute to a general fund or to a future foreign or domestic Bible campaign.

None of this work can be completed without the Grace of God blessing our campaigns. Please pray alongside us for God's will to be carried out through this ministry. By His empowerment, grace, and guidance, we are blessed to work for His glory.
